When did you know that you wanted to be an optometrist
I was fit with specialty contact lenses (ortho-k) for myopia control at age 9, and always admired my optometrist. After interviewing her for a school assignment in high school, I realized optometry would be a great choice for me.
Favorite part of being an optometrist
I love caring for patients of all life stages, and getting to build relationships with my patients and their family members. The eyes are are such an integral part of our everyday life, and I enjoy being able to work together with my patients to optimize their vision while maintaining healthy eyes.
I love visiting our country’s awesome national parks. My most recent favorite is Zion National Park. There are many great hikes with amazing vistas and rock formations to see along the way. I can’t wait to go back!
Favorite concert you’ve been to
Adele – she is so talented, and is funny too!
I speak two other languages (besides English) – Mandarin and Spanish.
