When did you know that you wanted to be an optometrist
My junior year of college. I was majoring in Biology and getting a minor in Math when I went to a health careers seminar with a friend. After that seminar and finding out that meteorology relied on a specific math course that I hated, I was set on optometry.
Favorite part of being an optometrist
Solving problems and getting to work with people.
Anywhere in the mountains. My ideal vacation is hiking or sitting in a quiet place listening to nature.
Favorite concert you’ve been to
Metallica in 1991 at the Greensboro Coliseum and The Rolling Stones (Living Colour opened for them) in 1989 at the Houston Astrodome.
Do you have any pets
Yes! Two dachshunds, Otto (brown) and Oscar (black).
