When did you know that you wanted to be an optometrist
When I entered college I had very short-lived aspirations of being a racetrack veterinarian for thoroughbreds. Very quickly I realized that delivering positive and encouraging news as a doctor was more of my calling.
Favorite part of being an optometrist
I love optometry because every day I can help patients see and feel better – it’s an immediate impact to leave the room with clearer vision and more comfortable eyes! Some of my patients have been told they might go blind, or that they’d never have anything close to 20/20 vision again. The technology that exists today in eyecare can truly change lives.
Anywhere I haven’t been yet! There’s so much world to explore.
Favorite concert you’ve been to
Avett Brothers at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary 2008.
I like Cheerwine floats for breakfast (occasionally life calls for you to indulge)!
