Dr. Mark Wells received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 2012.

He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2017 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Originally from Raleigh, Mark grew up a patient of Triangle Visions at the Durham location. After graduating, he returned to North Carolina to practice optometry and joined Triangle Visions in 2017.

He specializes in Primary Eye Care and Contact Lenses. Mark currently resides in Greensboro and is an avid runner and Tar Heel.

When did you know that you wanted to be an optometrist

In high school, I gravitated towards the math and sciences which transitioned into a Biology major in college. My education accompanied with frequent visits to my eye doctor led to me pursuing my career in optometry.

Favorite part of being an optometrist

The improvement in patients daily lives through vision correction and the management of ocular disease. Also, the enjoyment of learning new and exciting breakthroughs in the optometry field.

Fun fact

I grew up as a patient at Triangle Visions which is a large part of why I became an optometrist.

I lived in France in for 2.5 years when I was really young. I, unfortunately, lost the French language upon returning to the states.

My hobbies include running, crosswords, and Carolina basketball!
