Better Visual Skills = Better Athletes

"I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been." - Wayne Gretsky

What do all athletes have in common, regardless of size, strength, or speed? They all rely on their visual systems to see what is happening on the field and react. Continuing Triangle Visions' tradition of investing in the latest technology for our patients, Triangle Visions is proud to offer Senaptec to athletes who are committed to taking their game from good to elite. The Senaptec Sensory Station allows Triangle Visions' Sports Vision Training team to assess your visual skills, compare them to the visual skills of any level of competition in your respective sports, and tailor a custom vision training regimen specifically for you!

The Visual Skills of Peak Performers

The skills you need for peak performance in your favorite sport are:

  • Dynamic Visual Acuity:  allows you to see objects clearly while in motion
  • Eye Tracking:  the ability to follow objects visually without excessive head movement
  • Accommodation:  changing focus quickly and accurately from one distance to another
  • Peripheral Vision:  seeing people and objects “out of the corner of your eye”
  • Eye-Teaming:  the ability to keep both eyes working together even under high-speed, physically and visually stressful situations
  • Depth Perception:  judging the distance and speed of objects quickly and accurately
  • Visualization:  the skill that enables you to see yourself performing well in your "mind's eye" while your physical eyes are seeing and concentrating on something else
  • Visual-Motor Reaction Time:  the speed with which your brain interprets and reacts to your opponent's action
